After starting the season off with a horrible plane crash and losing their head coach in the crash the Oklahoma State Women's basketball team with their up and down season made it to the WNIT. After a month of playing in the tournament the Cowgirls made it to the championship game they had to play James Madison in Stillwater on saturday. The mens basketball coach Travis Ford bought 400 tickets for students to come watch and support for free. It was a hard fought game by OSU but they pulled it out and won with the final score 75-68 with them winning a championship and losing their head coach this could be the best possible thing for the girls you could see their emotion after the game was over it was a much needed win for them. I personally did not think their season was going to end like it did this year usually when you hear something like this happening you see the team fall apart but I think it made the team a lot stronger and they had to something to go out and fight for every night and prove something to the people. I like how all the other girl basketball teams thats are playing in the NCAA tournament are wearing on their Jerseys the number 4 or the OSU logo. It shows that were all one big team no matter what the school name is on their jerseys. Hope that next year that they have a even better season and make it to March Madness and have the chance to play for a national title.

Trayvon Martin Case
A young black male by the name of Trayvon Martin was shot and killed last week in Miami, Florida. Trayvon was a normal kid that was walking home one night and got into a altercation with the neighborhood watch guard by the name of Zimmerman, Zimmerman has only told the cops so far that he was attacked by Trayvon so he used self defense by shooting him which caused Trayvon to die. Trayvon's family believes the only reason Zimmerman shot Trayvon was because he was black. Zimmerman has yet to be arrested to this day and this is why the family is making it a really big deal besides their son getting shot and killed because they think zimmerman was being racist. Zimmerman is also Hispanic and his father is white so race can not be that big of a role in the case. My thoughts on this case is that Zimmerman is a good guy and doesn't have a bad background and we will never know what happened at the time and do not know what Trayvon was doing to make him feel that threaten so he had to shot him. There should not be any man in the world thats 28 and that is neighborhood guard should not feel that threaten to a 17 year old kid if thats the case he should of found a new job if he's going to be scared of a kid thats 11 years younger than him.

OSU Takes Down #2
Barefoot Bandit
Colton Moore is a young teen from Seattle Washington over his teenage years he was well known for his hi jacking planes and stealing cars and all different types of burglaries. This week he has finally been sentence to 6-1/2 years in federal prison. Colton says in the courtroom "I'd like to first say that what I did could be called daring, but it is no stretch of the imagination to say that I'm lucky to be alive, I should have died years ago." He was on the crime spree for two years and he got all caught up by sending emails the police ran across one day.My look on this young kid is that he shouldn't be thinking about stealing planes boats and cars. Should be more worried about going to school and college cause obviosly what he has done now has got him no where and now possible not ever have a job agian in the USA. But like some people they need a wake up call maybe this is his wake up call and he can come out a better man after he does his 6-1/2 years.
